Home Energy Loan
Improve Home Energy Efficiency with a Low Interest Loan
Take Action Against High Energy Costs
When rising energy costs prompt you to make home efficiency improvements, a Home Energy Loan could be the perfect way to finance them. From window replacements to home doors, a new furnace, heating/cooling supplies, insulation, solar power, even energy efficient appliances, a Home Energy Loan can help. You can get ahead of those bills, and reduce them in the process! Avoid having to pay your up-front costs out of pocket, or putting them on a credit card with much higher interest rates.
Save Money and Improve Your Home
Sometimes the winter months can bring higher heating bills. Aside from using your Home Energy Loan to help cover those costs, using it to pay for efficiency improvement(s) can give you many long-lasting benefits.
Saving Money: You could save every month on your energy bills, from electrical to heating and cooling. Any increase in efficiency means you’ll consume less energy, whether the improvements are small or large. The bigger the changes—like new windows or insulation—the more you could save, potentially up to hundreds of dollars a month.
Comfort: Efficiency improvements will make your home more comfortable in many ways. Depending on the improvements, efficiency can improve the air temperature and quality for your health, and even make your home quieter.
Improved Value: Improved energy efficiency and lower energy use means less impact on the environment, and generally an increase in the resale value of your home.
The nice thing is these aren’t trade-offs; efficiency improvements give you big wins in all these areas.
What Qualifies for a Home Energy Loan?
If your improvements are energy efficient in nature, there’s a good chance they would qualify to be covered under our Home Energy Loan. Are you installing new or replacement windows or home doors that are new, more energy efficient versions? Adding spray foam insulation to your walls, roof, attic, or basement? Maybe you need a new high efficiency furnace or air conditioning unit. How about replacing those old inefficient kitchen appliances with new, ENERGY STAR® rated models? Are you ready for solar energy, or newer radiant, hydronic, or geothermal heating? Bring a list of your plans and improvements, and we’ll let you know exactly what qualifies.
How does it work?
Once we have a list of your home improvements and their estimated costs, we can work out a loan amount that makes sense. Since these improvements typically are “one and done”—you pay for the supplies or work, and your bill is paid. You’ll have a full year to then pay off your loan. The great advantage: your investment can pay for itself in lower energy bills for years to come.
