Home Depot Security Breach

September 5, 2014

We are aware of the potential Home Depot credit card security breach and are monitoring the situation. As of this point in time, we have not been notified that our Members’ cards have been affected.

While it is unfortunate to hear of breaches like this or the Target breach from earlier this year, it is a good reminder that all of us should be diligent at monitoring our accounts for fraudulent activity. Sadly there are some unsavory folks out there and it can happen anytime, anywhere, to anyone regardless of security measures.

At First Source we have many easy ways for you to frequently check your account activity… and we recommend that you do so. You can use memberONLINE, our mobile app, the automated StraightTalk phone service, set up text alerts, call our Member Care Center or stop into any branch.

If you do see any suspicious activity, let us know. You are not liable for fraudulent charges and we’ll help you sort through it. Your security is as important to us as it is to you. If you have any questions please give us a call at 315-735-8571.
